American Vertigo was surprisingly readable. Either I need to revisit the works of Bernard Henri Levy anew, or this was a particularly good translation. However, The Book of Imaginary Beings left me cold. The anthology of spiritual writing remains untouched on my nightstand. I have neglected the things of the spirit in favor of two more novels by Philippa Gregory that turned up in the library on Friday.
