Standardized Testing
March 28, 2010
Courtesy of @fabredhead, I learned of this test to let one find one’s “Autism Spectrum Quotient,” or AQ. According to the author, the control group’s average AQ was about 16, and most test-takers who have been diagnosed with autism or a related disorder scored AQs of 32 or higher. Having long posited the existence of an autism spectrum disorder specific to my family (the marker will be found somewhere on the Protosaur Y chromosome), I was a little disappointed to only get an AQ of 12. Does anyone know of a test like this for the Tourette’s Syndrome spectrum?

41. CAn you even imagine? It’s a wonder I can function at all in daily life. The fact that I get to hide out in a university office reading about the ROman Empire and not interacting probably helps a bit though, don’t you think.
