Mouse rocked her elementary school talent show this afternoon. I am so proud of her! She’s really taking off emotionally after a few months of more maternal attention and less Babushka. The love of performance is a mixed blessing in some respects – it serves to feed the inner voice inside that tells me I’m only as worthwhile as the last thing I did for someone else’s benefit – but I know it’s been a boon to me professionally and in my creative life. I’m glad that my girl is getting to experience it. I hope she learns to wield the power wisely.
I finally got back on Goodreads after an accidental hiatus of several months. I missed tracking what I was reading and smugly enjoying my relatively robust tallies of books.
The family Christmas tree is finally decorated.
After months of curiosity, I finally bought the clumping kitty litter made from sawdust and corn or whatever. You know what? It smells really good (at least when it’s still clean) and the clumps are almost freakishly light in weight compared to the concrete the clumping sand produced.
I found another Dinosaur Mom – or, in this case, Dinosaur Mommy – blog. It appears to be a credit to the species.
You must allow her to see ‘Seussical’ at Imagination Stage. Free tix…Walking distance from Bethesda metro.
